Be part of St Lawrence Hall. Located at the heart of Old Rayne, we want local people to have the opportunity to support and look after our community space. Membership of St Lawrence Hall (SCIO) is completely free, with no expectation of committing to hours of volunteering or signing your life away.

What Being a Member Means 

Being a member is simply a way to have your say, stay informed, and be part of what happens at St Lawrence Hall. You can be involved as much or as little as you like—there is no requirement to join the committee or attend every meeting.

As a member, you will have the opportunity to:

• Attend meetings: Participate in members' meetings and share your views.

• Stay informed: Receive meeting agendas and minutes even if you cannot attend in person.

• Share ideas: Raise questions, ideas, or items for discussion via email.

• Help out: Get involved with events, projects, or volunteering if and when you want to.

We are a friendly, welcoming group that aims to represent the whole community. No special experience is required to join.

Who can become a member?

If you are aged 16 or over and live within the catchment area of Old Rayne Primary School, you are eligible for membership. For eligible local residents, membership is automatically granted once we receive your completed and signed membership application.

Don't live in the Old Rayne Primary School catchment?

You can still apply. Applications from people aged 16 or over who live outside the local catchment area will be considered by the Charity Trustees at their next Board meeting.

Under our constitution (currently under review), members living outside the local area can make up no more than 15% of the total membership, so these applications cannot be automatically accepted. Employees of the organisation are not eligible for membership.

What Happens Next?

• Local Catchment Applicants: Your details will be added directly to our Register of Members.

• Outside Catchment Applicants: Your application will be reviewed by the Charity Trustees at their next Board meeting, and we will contact you via email or writing with the outcome.

Your Membership Details As a registered Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO), legal regulations require us to maintain an official Register of Members containing your full name, address, and the date you joined. You can end your membership at any time by providing written notice.
